We just have to talk about them again. Everything they produce is just beyond words, and this follows suit in a fantastic way. Let us look to @bisolprosecco and their amazing creations.
What makes this Prosecco label cherished throughout the world is their steep history in the region with their family originally grape growing back in 1542. All the Prosecco produced by Bisol is Superiore from their 20 vineyard plots in the DOCG region to include holding 2 hectares in the Cartizze. They export to 69 countries internationally and produce 389,000 bottles to include 20,000 production of their Cartizze label.
Bisol is proudly located in the DOCG region of Prosecco which, as Mr Gianluca Bisol says, is the finest area for producing wonderful Glera grapes to make the best Prosecco which is rightly called Superiore. “Remember, if you want to have the best impression of the value of this kind of grape (Glera) then the best results are from the hills, the highest and steepest hills that my family has owned since 21 generations of family from 1542.” Gianluca Bisol

Something new for you again today. We really should talk about wine like this a little more often as they're head and shoulders above the norm. This in particular is a wonderful big blend from Stellenbosch.
Founded by cousins Gavin Bruwer and Bruwer Raats, they have an innovative approach, while keeping things simple, nurturing the grapes from vine to bottle and allowing the wines to express their sense of place.
These guys focus on creating a small collection of single vineyard, hand-crafted wines; the first being the Muscat d’ Alexandria 2014 from a tiny vineyard in Helderberg. Minimal intervention, with an organic attitude towards the winemaking results in wines that are textural and complex.
All the vineyards are distinct, in high-lying areas, close to the ocean and planted on weathered soils with the aim of capturing the heritage and terroir in the bottle.
B Vintners Haarlem to Hope White 2017 @ £20.95 - Buy it here!
The wine has bright fruit concentration on the nose, which follows through onto the palate. There is tension and excitement all at once. Nectarine, pear and melon are given depth by touches of spice, lemongrass and ginger, while hints of florals are a further dimension. Time in oak, with close lees contact, has helped to give the wine breadth and depth, still remaining fresh and focused, with a saline and savoury finish.
Honestly just an intense and joyful experience with every sip. Cheers!

Not many people can say no to a Margaux and ours is a particularly beautiful expression of this revered region. Some information is headed your way!
In 1932, Château Angludet was one of six châteaux to be promoted to the rank of Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel. The estate then passed into the hands of Paul Six for a period of nearly twenty years. Six was an industrialist who preferred to devote more time to his business activities than his vines and the vineyard consequently suffered neglect.
From 1953 on wards, Mr Thomas, the new owner, embarked on a major replanting programme but the harshwinter of 1956 destroyed all the young plants. Economic difficulties prevented the replanting of the lost vineyards, which were replaced by barley and wheat. In 1960, Angludet's vine covered a mere 7 hectares.
In 1961, Diana and Peter Sichel, the parents of the current generation of Sichels, bought the estate after falling in love with this unique site. Since then, Château Angludet has been the seat of the Sichel family.
La Reserve D'Angludet, Margaux 2015 @ £35.95 - Buy it here!
Réserve d'Angludet offers deliciously seductive aromas of sweet plums, ripe dark berry fruits and black cherries. The palate is rounded and supple with a smooth mouthfeel, balanced oak and a fine, elegant finish. Smooth with slightly gamey flavours and cedar oak tones, this is a classic and elegantly styled Bordeaux.
Believe us when we say this is all you will be needing this year! Beyond amazing. Cheers!

Having been huge fans of the Kendall-Jackson range for a while we thought we would add another to the mix. It just so happens to be something that we don't have much of: 100% merlot.
In 1974, San Francisco land-use attorney Jess Jackson and his wife Jane Kendall Wadlow Jackson converted an 80-acre pear and walnut orchard in Lakeport, California to a vineyard and sold wine grapes to local wineries. In 1982, a downturn in the grape market led them to produce their own wine instead of selling the grapes, and the Kendall-Jackson brand was established. That label now continues under the umbrella company, Jackson Family Wines, that Jackson later created.
In the 1980s, Kendall-Jackson rejected the California wine industry's trend toward vineyard-specific wine labeling. It ignored the concept of terroir in favor of blending wines from different regions to achieve desired wine characteristics. They reversed that direction in the mid-2000s, along with a push to upgrade their quality.
Kendall-Jackson Estate 'Vintners Reserve' Merlot 2013 @ £20.95 - Buy it here!
There's tremendous value in this well-made wine. It's savory in its mix of dried herb and plum notes, with smooth, softened tannins and judicious use of oak that lends richness to the palate. It'll appeal broadly.
KJ Estates always do it right. Cheers!

Good morning to you all. The sun is making an appearance again after a spot of rain yesterday so why not celebrate with a bottle of this? It's new and worth more than a quick look.
The seven hectare Mas La Mola estate has been in the Ferrando family for 150 years. Today, the viticulture, winemaking and blending are carried out by Jordi Masdeu (a young Spaniard who spent time working in the wine trade in London) and Alessandro Marchesan. The duo’s approach to making wine is artisanal, with a diminutive winery tucked away in the streets of Poboleda, in the north of Priorat.
The vineyards are planted in two different areas in the Poboleda district. The 40 year old Macabeo vines are planted on low yielding gravel soils next to a river (which provides vital irrigation to the root system during the hot summers), while the parcels of old Garnatxa Blanca, Garnatxa and Pedro Ximénez vines are planted on the steep Llicorella slate slopes between 300 and 800 metres above sea level. The unique llicorella slate is said to impart a pronounced mineral character to the wines.
Mas la Mola 'Vi D'Altura' Priorat 2016 @ £29.95 - Buy it here!
Deep ruby in colour with a youthful purple hue, this wine has intense and layered aromas of black cherries, blueberries, spicy oak notes and a smoky minerality. This Priorat is full bodied and powerful, with ripe tannins, mouth-watering acidity and a long, fruit-driven finish.
Not only is it absolutely mouthwatering, it's also carbon neutral, grown sustainably and vegan! Count me in. Cheers!

The Aussies are back in town with this beautifully designed #grenache. The Tithing is a new one for us and it's exactly what the doctor ordered.
Willunga 100’s focus is very much on premium Grenache, which has been driven by winemaker Mike Farmilo (who has almost 40 years of experience working in McLaren Vale) and consultant Tim James. Mike and Tim spend a lot of time working with the growers to ensure the quality of fruit is up to their exacting standards.
‘The Tithing’ is made only in the best years and is aged in French oak hogsheads, which are larger than barriques, so as to avoid oak masking the delicate aromatics of Grenache. The 2013 vintage is from a single vineyard in Seaview where terra rossa soils mix with sand to give great structure to the wine. The 2013 is outstanding: complex and intense with ripe black fruit and savoury overtones. The 2016 is from low yielding 60-year-old vines in the DiFabio vineyard in Blewitt Springs. It is rich and concentrated with superb length and freshness. Two other Grenaches complete Willunga 100’s genuflection before the altar of this superb variety: the Willunga 100 Grenache is a perfumed and spicy expression of the variety, with great freshness; while the Grenache Rosé is pale, dry and deliciously supple.
Willunga 100 'The Tithing' Grenache 2016 @ £19.95 - Buy it here!
A concentrated, rich, complex wine. Intense red fruit with powerful savoury overtones shows just how good 'old vine' Grenache from McLaren Vale can be. Ripe, persistent tannins give the wonderfully balanced fruit great length and intensity
If you're a bit of an old world snob or just haven't found a new world grenache that's to your taste then this might be the one to change your mind. Cheers!
