A classic País- a light red wine, but not lacking in flavour or character. Red fruits with floral highlights and loads of savoury complexity. The grapes were harvested using traditional 'hand and horse' methods, fermented with wild yeasts and matured over winter in old oak barrels, to soften the wine and add complexity without introducing the overt oak aromas and flavours imparted by newer barrels. Darker [and more serious] than many País out there with proper complexity and depth, ripe flavours and round tannins without ‘rusticity’. This is the character of the grape on granite soils made in small lots with focus.
Bright and intense ruby red in colour with a distinct purple edge. The nose has aromas of fresh berries, forest fruits, sweet and sour cherries and blackberries that intermingle with wild blueberries. The well-balanced palate is fresh and light with tannins that subtly support the fruit expression for even greater complexity.
This wine is ruby red in colour. On the nose, there are intense aromas of fresh strawberries and tart cherries, with notes of rose petals and wild herbs. The well-integrated oak adds elegance and complexity – lightly toasted hazelnut and vanilla notes and very gentle, rounded tannins. A vibrant palate with plenty of red fruit and a balanced, lingering finish.
