Today we have a special wine to show you. Its one of our staff's absolute favourites and for very good reason: its bloody amazing.

One of the main protagonists in the renaissance of Southern Italian wines, Feudi di San Gregorio has carved out a reputation for making truly world-class wines in less than 30 years. The company began in the mid 1980s with the aim of safeguarding local traditions and unlocking the potential of key indigenous grapes such as Fiano, Greco, Falanghina and Aglianico.

2013 is considered to be a more classic vintage, as the harvest took place later than in recent years. The season was marked by a cool, wet spring, followed by cool weather during the early summer. Warm, dry weather during the latter part of the summer encouraged the ripening and maturation of the berries. The resulting wines are fresh and elegant.

Feudi di San Gregorio 'Taurasi' 2013 @ £22.95 - Buy it here!
Fragrant aromas of maraschino cherry, cinnamon and nutmeg are complemented by undertones of vanilla and anise. Full of juicy black fruit flavours, the palate is full bodied and well balanced with sweet, soft tannins with an aromatic, persistent finish.

Does that description not make you want to run here and take it all home? It's so good you wont believe it.

Cheers!
