After a Facebook malfunction yesterday we have two wines of the day, both of the utmost quality! So without further ado....

Wine of the Day number 1 - Esk Valley Riesling 2013

This hand crafted wine is from Marlborough in New Zealand. The Esk Valley estate shies away from over mechanisation and relies upon the more traditional 'old fashioned' methods of wine production. They have created a Riesling using grapes from hotter slops for tropical fruitiness and cooler slopes for crispness and acidity. This combination has produced something really special - perfectly rounded, soft yet refreshing, this wine will taste fabulous with food with a bit of spicy heat. We have some open so come and try it, it's just £11.95 for a little piece of heaven!

Wine of the Day number 2 - San Jacopo da Vicchiomaggio Chianti Classico

Made with 100% Sangiovese grapes, this wine has been crafted by John Mata's team in Tuscany. John has been awarded Italian Winemaker of the Year no less than four times so this wine is a beauty! An elegant and refined red, it's smooth with soft tannins and an oaky fullness. Try it with spaghetti bolognese, put on some opera, close your eyes and for £8.75 you will be transported to the beautiful Tuscan countryside....
