Join us for an evening of entertainment, education and enlightenment at one of our monthly wine tasting events. It could be a masterclass on Pinot Noir, a celebration of Tuscany wines, testing your tasting skills with Natalija’s Casino Royal or meeting the wine makers themselves. Each event will be advertised in store/lounge and via the website and social media accounts. Be quick as they tend to sell out quickly!
The Valentine’s Food & Wine Tasting
Celebrate Valentine’s week with an elegant and immersive food and wine experience at Grand Cru Lounge Bar. 🍷💘
This special tasting brings together six exceptional wines, each perfectly paired with artisanal canapés or chocolate, offering a romantic demonstration of how food and wine elevate one another.
The evening opens with the refined sparkle of Vouvray and the elegance of rosé Champagne, before moving into the freshness of Kent Pinot Noir Rosé and the depth of Valpolicella Ripasso. The tasting concludes with two classic sweet pairings, featuring New Zealand late-harvest Riesling and the luxurious richness of Sauternes.
Artisanal canapés will be created using outstanding produce from Little Mouse Cheese (@littlemousecheese), showcasing the very best of British and Irish cheesemaking, alongside premium Italian ingredients sourced from Alivini (@alivinicoltd). Handcrafted chocolate will be supplied by fine chocolatier Blowing Dandelion (@bd_chocolate).

The evening includes an informative and engaging presentation exploring the romance of each wine’s origin, flavour, and creation, and why each pairing works so seamlessly.
