A deep black cherry colour with expressive aromas of fresh red and black berry fruit. On the palate, it is a well-balanced and structured wine with a medium to full body and a pleasant, succulent finish.

The vineyards are 30 years old and cover 20 hectares of south-facing sites, with sandy and clay soils. The climate is continental, with long, hot and often very dry summers and quite cold winters. At this altitude of 700m above sea level, temperatures may drop to 10°C in winter.

Frost is also a danger between October and the first week of May and vineyards located in the flattest area are liable to be hit by strong winds. Yields are naturally low at around five tonnes per hectare on average.
