The Chateau Thenac estate is situated to the east of Bordeaux in the heart of the Périgord region, in the hamlet of Thénac and comprises in total almost 200 hectares. The Perigord , well known as “Purple Perigord” is note for producing very high quality red, white and sweet wines. The Périgord  is a natural region and former province of France and corresponds roughly to the current Dordogne department.

At an altitude of between 150 to 200 metres and a temperature lower than Bordeaux the vineyards of Chateau Thenac not only endures less rainfall but also give a good exposure. This micro climate allows the grapes to retain their natural freshness and optimum conditioning.

The predominantly limestone soils on which Fleur de Thenac  grow are warm enough to give to this wine good structure colour and tannins.
