Matured for 14 months in 60% new French oak, the result is a Chenin Blanc with intense flavour and excellent ageing potential – full of dried apricot and ripe tropical fruits, with an oak and vanilla creaminess.
Leopard’s Leap Culinaria Pinot Noir is a delicate wine with an interesting combination of red and darker fruit nuances, made in a more classic style. Subtle aromas of cranberry, hints of raspberry and cherry with delicate undertones of tobacco.
This Pinotage displays a beautiful crimson colour with fruit-forward aromas of blackberry, ripe prunes and dates. Soft nuances of nutmeg and black pepper intertwine with juicy red fruit, underlined by subtle spice, soft tannins and an elegant finish.
Grand Vin is a Bordeaux-style blend with complex layers. Aromas of red fruit, subtle black whiffs of cassis with integrated Tobacco and a hint of cedar, perfectly rounded with a fruity mulberry in the after-taste. The ripe tannins ensure a firm, elegant structure. A sincere wine that will complement well-prepared red meat dishes.
The wine shows cassis fruit, with exotic spice and red fruit notes. It is layered with fragrant ripe cherry and blackberry notes, with underlying spice cedarwood and white pepper characters. The palate is seamless, with elegant fine grained tannins.
Earthy, beetroot and redcurrant – very sophisticated, with some iodine and chocolate and a lovely savoury persistence. Slight smoky character on the finish, light palate but no lack of concentration. Unmistakeable Pinot character.
Perfumed with a floral nose of rose petals, black and red cherries, strawberries and underlying spice notes. This is classic, focussed Elgin Highlands Pinot Noir.
The wine shows concentrated marzipan and citrus notes, with underlying hazelnut and lime notes, which adds to layered complexity. The wine is seamless, with flavoursome and long finish.
