Blanc de Noir style, made from more than 80% Pinot Noir. Hand-harvested in openwork crates, it is then fermented on selected yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless-steel and with some 10% of the harvest fermented 6 months in old French oak barrels. It is then aged on fine lees in bottle for two years. Dosage approx. 7-8 grams/L. A lively, soulful and very Champagne-like blend with aromas and flavor of honey, butter, lemon zest, white pepper.
The wine is a pretty pale yellow in the glass, the nose is complex with layers of stoned and exotic fruits. To taste it does not disappoint, it’s round and full, achieved by six months lees aging, but retains citrusy freshness. Delightful.
With its golden colour and silver hues, this Meursault offers aromas of apples and pears with a hint of spiciness. The onset in the mouth is dense, fleshy and full-bodied, with a finely crafted acidity giving it a fresh, mouth-watering finish.
Purple colour with violet hues. On the nose, the wine offers a wide range of berry aromas (strawberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants) and also reveals some delicate toasted notes.
A complex wine with notes of apple, pear, grapefruit, earth, and minerality. It expresses the vibrancy and lift of the vintage while remaining round, full, slightly nutty, and elegant.
The 2009 Clos Vougeot is remarkably polished and fine in this vintage. It may ultimately prove to be better than the 2010 given that the heat of the year has tamed the tannins to such a significant degree. Layers of red fruit built to the explosive finish in this huge, powerful Clos Vougeot. The 2009 is rich, round and totally sensual and impeccably finessed.
A beautifully complex and overtly sauvage nose speaks of plum, red currant and red berry liqueur nuances that introduce delicious, round and quite supple middle weight flavors that possess reasonably good concentration, all wrapped in a dusty and moderately austere finish that delivers excellent length.
Distinctive exotic spice and incense, an almost Vosne-Romanee complexity of aroma is a signature of this wine. Morello cherry and raspberry flavors swirl in the mouth with white pepper and sweet tobacco pulsing with energy despite its rich and mouth coating feel. The tannins are incredibly fine and integrated speaking to wine well above its village designation.
Almond and hazelnut roasted in a vegetal, floral and mineral environment. Butter, honey, citrus fruits also solicit the nose. On the palate, a rich and fat wine, with a nutty and delicious flavor: the balance between unctuous and freshness. Long & structured.
Beautiful aromas of blackberry, violets, and light baking spices which lead harmoniously into the palate. Concentrated yet smooth and silky with ripe tannins.
The 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin has retained a wonderful bouquet with red cherries, cranberry and wild strawberry fruit that feels cohesive and concentrated. The new oak is nicely integrated. The palate is smooth in texture with slightly lower acidity than expected. Very harmonious and seductive, this fans out nicely on the peppery finish.
Characterised by complex aromas of blackcurrant buds, red berries, licorice and spices with floral notes such as rose, lending it refinement and elegance. It reveals beautiful density in the mouth.
Vibrant cherry leads the way, with strawberry and roses on the palate with fine acidity and lean body. Wonderfully put together with all of the trimmings. A lovely wine to enjoy now..
Bright and lifted aromas of lemon, green apple and pear. Crisp and clean on the palate with focused, taught, racy acidity that fuses with further citrus fruit and white pepper minerality.
A brilliant cherry red, with aromas of red fruits with a slightly peppery note. The fullness and roundness make these wines a pleasure. Ideal with lighter weight dishes be they fish, fowl, four-legged or vegetarian.
Wonderful mature cherry notes, perfumed with a savory, leather appeal which coats the mouth and provides a bit of structure whilst maintaining a lighter appeal.
Nectarine, honey and butterscotch notes leap forth with a notably lifted vibrancy and zing. Taut, crisp and steely on the palate; juicy, pure, uncluttered, offering layers of crisp, ripe orange and lemon citrus flavours, wrapped in vanilla cream. Invigorating, gratifying.
This youthful 2021 vintage showcases the purity and freshness of its terroir, with bright fruit flavours, crisp acidity, and a subtle mineral backbone. One for the cellar.
Rich and robust with deep, dark and red fruit aromas, evolved spice and dry earthy notes leading onto a medium-bodied, silky smooth and structured palate. Fine tannins and a long, lingering finish round off this delicious, nicely mature red Burgundy from the Côte de Nuits.
satisfies on so many levels! Perfectly mature, full and savoury, complex with layers of flavour, great length, a really serious wine, something you could get out at a dinner party and get looks of jealousy. If everyone in Beaujolais could do this, the guys to their north and south might just get a little worried!
Fermented in stainless steel to preserve maximum freshness and primary fruit aromas. This is a beautiful example of unoaked Chardonnay from the Macon region in the south of Burgundy. Boasting masses of honeyed fruit and a crisp finish. Grown on limestone soil, this ultra-fresh clean wine shows what good value white Burgundy is all about – excellent balance and crisp minerally fruit. Traditional winemaking at its best.
