Today we travel from Bordeaux to the Rhone Valley. The Rhone Valley is split into two - north and south. The North is well known for its beautiful Syrah wines and the south is famous for Chateauneuf du Pape.

This Syrah from northern Rhone is utterly quaffable. It's well balanced, fruity and has very smooth tannins so drinks well on its own as well as with food. If you are eating, how about trying it with a wintry casserole to match the weather forecast?!
